Pool News

With the hot weather upon us, we know that many in our community are looking forward to the pool opening for the season. We are too! Special thanks go to Davis Bryant, Heather Bryant, and David Murphy for their hard work taking the cover off, fixing the leaky pump, extensive cleaning, pressure washing, and getting the pool water balanced. This is no small feat, and we are lucky to have these incredibly talented and motivated folks in our neighborhood.

With this said, however, we have been delayed a bit in getting the pool inspected by the county this season because of issues with the pool’s landline telephone. North Carolina law requires that every community pool have a working landline telephone that is tied to the physical address of the pool that matches what 911 has on file. This has been a challenge this year due to the discovery of a damaged underground phone cable and non-matching addresses associated with the phone number provided to us by our telephone company. John Crenshaw at Thornburg and Associates has been relentless in his calls to our provider to remedy the issue. Thank you, John! He noted that he has had similar issues with other communities that they manage, resulting in opening delays. We do expect all issues to be resolved any day now so that we can schedule the inspection and get the pool open. Thank you for your patience throughout this somewhat frustrating process. Your safety is our number one priority.

I am having copies of the pool key made for those who may need one. If you need a copy, please email me at kbailey1968@gmail.com.

Lastly, please review all pool rules as posted for the health, safety, and enjoyment of all in our community. Have a fun and safe pool season!
