Financials
May 2022 was a catch-up month, financially, for Huntington Woods. During the first three months we incurred the cost of replacing the roof on Building 2, replacing the lining in the swimming pool, and the additional normal cost of mulch as we prepared our lovely neighborhood for spring. Upcoming expenses will include the replacement of the dangerous deck on Building 2, repairs to Building 9 along with removal of several trees. The balance in the two bank accounts at the end of May was $44 thousand in the Reserve, and $47 thousand in the Operating Account.

I will be getting estimates in the next several weeks to have several large trees removed due to disease, have limbs cut away from some buildings and some trees limbed up. I also walked the creek line with the City Stormwater Engineer.
He schedules waterway cleanup and will put us on the list for maybe fall. He also stated there will be three detention ponds and we should see one third less water than we see now. Charlie continues with trimming and weekly mowing.

Just an update of projects beginning next week. The Unit 1770 deck replacement will begin along with a gutter repair. There are also a few items Richard Thompson is working on. He is replacing boards on the bridge and painting. He is also repairing the screen on the lower dumpster. There will also be soffit repairs on Building 2 and several chimneys where birds have made holes in the wood will be repaired. Hopefully within the next several weeks, I will be getting estimates from GW Witherspoon Construction, King Construction and Hodge Home Improvement for the refurbishment of Building 9, which hopefully will commence in the fall. We will begin working on Unit 1712 as soon as I am contacted by the owner.
Feel free to contact me through Allison & White with any repair requests or concerns you may have. I plan to be available on Tuesday in Huntington Woods. Sooner if needed.
