Termite Season

TERMITE SEASON IS HERE!

Our reporting process for the annual termite inspection that each homeowner is required to have done by an official inspector has changed.

Now instead of providing the inspection report from the inspector to the HOA Architecture Chair, the inspection report will go directly to Carol at Thornburg and Associates. Carol will be tracking their receipt to be sure that we as homeowners are meeting our annual responsibility.

Thank you,

Larry Miller

Landscaping News

Spring is in full swing, and our neighborhood is looking better than ever! The recent sprucing up of our flow-er beds has truly made a noticeable difference—they look amazing. A special highlight is the entrance sign flower bed, which has been fully cleaned out and refreshed with a beautiful mix of annuals and perennials. These enhancements help create a welcoming and cohesive look throughout our community.

If you’re interested in elevating your own landscaping, we encourage you to reach out to Joy Everett. She can work with you to design a customized plan for your property and submit it to the HOA for approval. It’s a great way to enhance your home while maintaining the overall aesthetic of the neighborhood.

Please also be aware that watering restrictions are currently in place for the City of Hickory. Residents may water lawns and flower beds up to one inch per week. We appreciate your cooperation in helping conserve water during this time.

Additionally, we’ve received several concerns regarding dog waste in residents’ flower beds and yards. We kindly ask all pet owners to be respectful of your neighbors by walking dogs along the perimeter of the community rather than through private yards. Please do not allow dogs within four feet of residents’ front doors. Always pick up after your pet and dispose of waste properly.

For those looking for a more open space for walking, there is a large field located behind the neighborhood, across the bridge, where dogs can roam freely while on a leash.

Thank you for your continued cooperation in keeping our community clean, beautiful, and enjoyable for every-one.

Sincerely, Lori, Joy & Jerry

Pool News

Here comes the fun! I hope that everyone is excited for another pool season. Davis Bryant has been hard at work already getting things cleaned up. We always aim to open around Mother’s Day and if the stars align, we will!

You will hear a bit of noise between now and then as there will be pressure washing and fence repairs being made. In addition, a new, self-locking gate door mechanism will be installed that will help secure our pool for owners, renters and guests only. Once the installation has been completed, a zip-top bag containing your new pool key will be distributed with two numbered wristbands included. An explanation of how these are to be used will also be inserted as well as posted in our community website documents.

Our biggest focus is, and will always be, having your safety in mind. Once we open, please enjoy and have a great pool season.

Notes from the HOA President – May

Dear Neighbors,

The month we’ve all been waiting for is finally here — our community pool will soon open for the season!

But before anyone dives in, I want to take a moment to shine a well-deserved spotlight on our Pool Chair, Kevin Bailey and his assistant Davis Bryant. Since January, Kevin has been hard at work behind the scenes making sure our pool is nothing short of spectacular for each and every one of us.

From ensuring full regulatory compliance and safe-ty standards, to thoughtful accessibility improvements that make our pool welcoming for all residents, to the beautiful aesthetic touches that make this space truly shine — Kevin along with Davis have poured their time and energy into what I can only call the summer season crown jewel of our neighborhood.

Look for Kevin’s upcoming announcements for im-portant 2026 pool regulations. I will be the first to say it: Kevin and Davis, THANK YOU!

Now, won’t you grab your pool noodle and jump in and join me with your appreciation?! Let’s make this the best pool season yet.

See you poolside!

Warm regards, Sabina
