Thoughts From the Board

FINANCIALS
At year end, our bank accounts reflected, all together a total of $137,888.02.
Note: During the transition between management companies, two landscaping invoices were overlooked and were not paid for the months of November and December. They have now been paid and will be re-flected in the first quarter expenditures. There were no major expenditures during the month of December. The new management company is currently working with Kaye Owenby to insure all bills are current that may have been missed during the transition period.

LANDSCAPING
I know everyone is enjoying this warm weather and hope it will still be warm when you are reading this. The landscapers started spreading mulch today and will continue this for the next week. They will also put pine needles next to the units. We are scheduled for a weed and feed treatment this week and then if weather holds warm, may be able to put out some grass seed middle or end of March.

Kaye Owenby, Landscaping Co-Chair

Notes From the HOA President – March 2023

Hello Neighbors,
I would like to thank everyone for their patience while we transition to our new management company, Cedar Management Group. The Board is excited that we now have the choice of accessing our accounts on line, pay our dues, and put in requests on our Vine account; or continue to choose to mail our payments and requests for repairs, etc.
Cedar Management will be a more hands on company in assisting our HOA in community upkeep. It is expected that they will drive through periodically assessing work that may need to be done on buildings, roofs, etc., follow-up on homeowners work requests, as well as our adher-ence to our association rules. This support from Cedar will help us all pay more attention keeping our community looking uniform, unique, and help maintain our property values.
If you have any questions about our Association rules, please refer to our Architectural & Common Usage Manual. These manuals were given to each homeowner several years ago or when you purchased your unit.
The Manual addresses a wide range of items including outdoor furniture, signs, flower pots, plantings in mulch areas, storm doors, satellite dishes, parking, etc. We all need to review this and especially now that we are com-ing up on Spring season and will be spending more time outside.
I look forward to working with everyone to help keep our community one of the best kept secrets in Hickory.

Kaye Owenby,
HOA President
