Notes from the HOA President – September 2022

Hello Neighbors,

Our community first came into being thirty-eight years ago in 1984. Throughout these many years, our community has maintained the integrity of a community that is attractive and that we can be proud to live in. Proof of that are the homeowners who have been here since the very beginning and the newer homeowners who watched and waited for homes to go up for sale.

Huntington Woods is known for its hard-working volunteer board of directors who are committed to helping residents with problem-solving in the maintenance of their homes and, where possible, assisting in the making of each home to fit the personal needs of each of owner within our community’s guide-lines.

To be sure that our community continues to be a positive place to live, when you wish to make a change, addition, or update the the exterior of your home, please follow these steps:

  1. Review the homeowner and architectural guidelines;
  2. Complete the appropriate work request form; and
  3. Work with your board of directors’ member(s) in finding a solution that fits within our community

Some of our residents are signed with the CodeRED Alert System, a community aware-ness system that is used for emergency or general notifications by the City of Hickory and Catawba County. The system notifies residents of emergencies and public safety issues, such as severe weather, utility service interruptions, infrastructure failures, and other urgent situations. If you are not signed up with this free service, click HERE to learn about how it works and how to sign up.

Have a wonderful September! Sabina Hardy
